Analytical chemistry laboratory

Making new solutions for forensic investigation based on chemistry

Scientific criminal investigation is important to identify suspects and prosecute criminals based on non-biased objective police activity. Various kinds of analytical methods using chemical phenomena are used for analyzing various samples, including drugs of abuse, poisons, manufactured products, and natural products. In this laboratory, novel methods to address the limitations of the methods used routinely in the forensic laboratory are developed, which we believe will contribute to achieving the improvement of scientific criminal investigation and a safer society.
