Observational Astrophysics Laboratory

Studies on star formation in our Galaxy and nearby galaxies by observations of the interstellar medium

We observe the interstellar matter to study the formation processes of the stars and galaxies. The observations are carried out using the world's most powerful radio interferometer, the ALMA telescope, and other telescopes all over the world. We also carry out spectroscopic experiments in the microwave and terahertz bands in the laboratory to analyze the interstellar molecules.
