Dr. Zaini Ujang, the former Secretary General of Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, conducted a colloquium at SIT

On July 15, 2025, Dr. Zaini Ujang, the former Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and former Secretary General of the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education conducted a workshop at our Toyosu campus. This colloquium was held as part of his "100-DAY-WORLD-LECTURE-TOUR”.

At this colloquium, he gave a lecture on “Ecosophy: Multiple perspectives and its roles in planetary health”.
Students, faculty members and staff from SIT and another university took part in the event, followed by active discussions.

Strong tie between Malaysia and SIT
SIT has strengthened its collaboration with Malaysian educational institutions since 1993, when we participated as the leading university in “Higher Education Loan - fund Project (HELP)”, which was launched by the Malaysian government through a yen loan scheme. As of 2025, SIT continues to serve as the leading university for the current program,UniKL JUP, playing a key role as a bridge between Japan and Malaysia.
